OK, so we’ve got your Facebook Business Page up and running. Now what? Well, you should continue to post to your Page in the same way as you would a Personal Profile to keep the conversation going, but perhaps in a more professional manner. Set the tone depending on your product, the image you would like your business to project, and your target audience. But to create some really good content and continuously link people back to your blog, a great tool to enhance your Page is to automatically link your blog posts to your Business Page. Now there are actually a number of different ways you can do this and we’re not going to go into them all today but what I want to show you is a couple of simple ways you can go about it.

1. Setting up an RSS feed using the “Notes” tab.

Probably the easiest way to set up your automatic blog posts is by using the “Notes” tab. Log in to your Facebook Business Page and click on “Edit Page” underneath your image. You will be taken to the Settings and Applications Page. Under “Applications” scroll down until you see the “Notes” section and click on “Edit”. You will be taken to the “Notes” screen. Now click on “Edit Import Settings” at the bottom of the page.

You will now be taken to the “Import a Blog” screen. Simply enter your website’s feed address, tick the box which states you have legal rights to import the blog and click on “Start Importing”.

If you’re not sure what your blog’s feed address is this can usually be found by clicking on the RSS button on the right hand side of your browser’s address bar. Normally they will be in the form of http://yourdomainname.com/feed/ or feed://yourdomainname.com/feed/ – I have noticed that this screen does not always seem to accept your feed address if it starts with “feed”, so try replacing it with “http”.

That’s it! Easy. Every time you create a new post it will now be automatically displayed on the Wall of your Page. It also creates a backlink from your Facebook Page to your blog which helps increase your search engine ranking.

2. Using the Social RSS application.

Now this is a slightly more sophisticated way to automatically post to your Facebook Business Page because it provides you with a few more options and tools. In the search field at the top of your page enter “Social RSS” and click on “Social RSS Application” which will come up in your search results. You will be taken to the Social RSS page. Social RSS reads your blog post content and places it on your Facebook Page Wall and on your Fans’ home pages. Firstly, select the Facebook Page or Profile you would like your blog posts to appear on.

Then click on the Add Social RSS button:

Social RSS allows you up to five feeds to your Facebook Page but you only need to enter one if that’s all you’re using. Enter the URL (web address) of an RSS feed to the box marked URL. Make sure it is the address of a proper RSS feed and not just a website.

Now complete the Tab settings – explanations and recommendations are shown on the right hand side as you get to each step.

Once you’ve completed all the tab settings click on “Update”. You may be asked to approve some special permissions if you have elected to post to your wall or auto-like your posts.

Everything we have covered so far is free, however Social RSS also allows you to choose a paid service for $24.00 a year. This is an optional service and is by no means required. Social RSS suggest this will provide potential benefits of increased engagement on your page, increased virality of your news, increased fan base and increased Facebook presence for your brand. It also allows you to track your statistics.

OK, so now everything’s set up, head back to your Page by clicking on your Page name in the top left hand corner.

To view your new tab click on the >> tab then RSS/Blog.

Your posts will also be automatically posted to your Wall. Social RSS checks your blog periodically and feeds new posts to Facebook when they are detected. Done.

Dedicated to your success,
